Since this is the lite version, it leaves a watermark that says “Created by Paint X” at the bottom of every picture you edit. For the Pencil, Paintbrush, Airbrush, Ink Tool, Eraser, and Smudge tools, it switches them into color picker mode, so that clicking on an image pixel causes GIMPs foreground to be set to the active layers color at that point (or, for the Eraser, GIMPs background color). The only way around this problem is to color only one pixel at a time which is pretty tedious. Holding down the Ctrl key has a special effect on every brush tool. The colors are slightly off and since I’m working on sprite artwork, this is a pretty bad problem. When you use the pencil tool, it colors it unevenly. Oh, and I’ve been having an annoying problem. I’m currently working on sprite artwork, though, so I’d really like an option to disable it. One of the main problems with MSPaint is that most drawing tools lacked antialiasing. The drawing tools don’t have as much customization, although it does have antialiasing. Certain things are slightly better while other things are slightly worse when compared to MSPaint. The closest thing I can compare this to would be MSPaint.
